Solo Clash's simulated markets run on live CME Group price data, delivered to our platform through dxFeed. Both come with conditions attached, and those conditions pass down to you as a trader on our platform.
There are two separate sets of obligations, and they are easy to confuse.
The first governs what you may do with the market data you receive.
The second governs how you may behave in the market. A trader can comply with one and breach the other.
Solo Clash enforces both. Where a Solo Clash rule and an exchange or data rule overlap, the stricter applies.
Why these rules apply to a simulated account
Two reasons.
The market data is real, and it is licensed. Our data agreement carries obligations that extend to every person who receives that data through us. When you use the platform, you are a downstream recipient of a licensed feed — not the owner of the prices on your screen.
The conduct standards are what we fund. We evaluate traders on whether their results would transfer to a real exchange. Behaviour that would breach CME rules on a live venue tells us the answer is no, whether or not the order reached an order book.
